Profile

I'm a scriptwriter. A copywriter. A creative. A Creative Director. An ECD. An entrepreneur. A mentor.

I started my advertising career at Saatchi & Saatchi where, as well as winning awards on Castlemaine XXXX, Silk Cut, Schweppes, Toyota and the Army, I learnt that a brilliant insight allows you to take an idea into any media, and the importance of sales results.

I have since built a career and a few brands applying this credo at agencies from TBWA/Simons Palmer and MCBD to HHCL and Lowe. I managed to get my own dental product into Sainsbury’s and Lloyd's Pharmacy before returning to advertising at AMV. I left to launch The Brooklyn Brothers, London. I was the agency’s Creative Director for two years during which time I helped to take it from zero clients to 14 clients, generating billings of £15 million. No mean feat given the economic climate.

A year as ECD of TBWA\HK exposed me to new ways of thinking and executing as we were awarded Digital Agency of the Year (of the horse) for Greater China. Since my return to London I have been ECD of Edelman, UK and Ireland inspiring creatives across their brand, digital and 'newsroom' practices on everything from Shell and Unilever to Viridor and Johnnie Walker.

I work well with clients and creatives. I am equally at home producing local or global thinking. My passion is for building vibrant and diverse creative departments - environments that foster brilliant, original, famous thinking for ambitious clients.
